WE COLLECT DATA FROM
Young people who benefit from our programmes. We need basic personal data to manage placements. We may ask for sensitive personal information to monitor the diversity of young people on work experience.
Employers who work with us on work experience. We collect basic information, so we can contact you to arrange work experience placements, manager work experience and provide appropriate updates.
WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR DATA
Work Experience support Services s a 'Controller' of the personal data you provide to us. This notice tells you what to expect when we collect personal data.
This information applies to the data we collect about young people, employers and staff.
We have a Data Protection Policy in place which we follow in order to protect your data.
Work Experience Support Services staff manage all personal data in the UK.
No third parties have access to your personal data, unless they are allowed to by low. We will only share information with others when it is necessary and legally appropriate to do so.
We only keep your Information for as long as we need It. This means that all personal details we have collected will be removed after It Is no longer needed for Its original purpose.
WHAT IS OUR LEGAL BASIS FOR USING YOUR DATA
As a business working with schools we have several reasons for processing data.
We relay on the following legal reasons for collecting, storing and using your Information.
Processing some data is necessary for our work and balances the interests of others. For
example, we collect employers' details to source work experience placements; this has an impact on employers, schools and young people, who can all benefit from it.
We process some Information as part of contractual obligations with partners and Service Level Agreements with schools. We also process staff Information for their employment contacts.
We are legally obligated to ensure any employees have no criminal convictions which prevent them from working with children. We use DBS checks to fulfil this obligation.
WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?
If you believe the Information we hold about you Is Incorrect you can request to have It corrected. You can also request to access your data, or have It deleted.
